Summary

Kazi Bayzid Kabir is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, and Director of the University’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell.

His research concerns the conversion of biomass, biogenic residues and municipal waste into fuels, chemicals and carbon materials, and the evaluation of those routes against techno-economic and environmental criteria. Current interests include hydrothermal carbonisation, carbon capture and utilisation, renewable hydrogen, catalysis and reaction engineering, and life cycle assessment of energy systems.
